Thanks to Andrew Macleod for this additional perspective on the leaked Ministry of Forests map and painfully slow progress on old-growth in the Tyee. Important because the previous articles about the map missed a bit of the complexity around the lack of progress. Reading through the full article confirms all the major reasons why we are concerned and need stronger action. But it also makes it clear that the leaked map is primarily a symptom of these problems and not the root cause of them.
